Anna-Alm at Hennesteck
Annaberg entices you with hiking routes and the cosy Anna-Alm hut to hike, enjoy and stop off in the Mostviertel mountains.
The Annaberg leisure area has a heart for hikers. In the Mostviertel mountains, many hiking trails lead to Anna-Alm on the Hennesteck at 1,300 m above sea level. On clear days, the magnificent view of the Ötscherland reaches as far as the Wachau.
Pleasure hiker or in top form? Annaberg offers the right hiking route for young and old and from contemplative to challenging:
- Family-friendly hiking: the tour from Wastl to Anna-Alm is suitable for the whole family.
- Original highlight Herzerlweg: a marking of red wooden hearts leads the hiker around the Hennesteck alpine pasture area in the shape of a heart in about 4 hours.
- Fast training: the shortest (1.25 hours) but also steepest route to Anna-Alm leads along the ski trail of Annaberger lifts. The starting point is the Reidl ski centre.
Culinary end at Anna-Alm
The day's hike can be rounded off in comfort in Anna-Alm's restaurant or panorama tavern. The view of the Mostviertel mountains allows you to take a deep breath. Home-cooked meals and fresh pastries are served. Regional juices and beers such as Erz Bräu round off every meal. The bacon snack tastes even better!
